Canadian Veterans who served in Afghanistan enjoyed a traditional Afghan Dinner on the evening of Thursday, 13 April 2023 at the Veterans Association Food Bank in Edmonton. This 4-minute video highlights the feast prepared by local Afghans who wanted to thank Canadian Veterans for their service in Afghanistan.
The Portraits of Honour Replica (https://www.portraitsofhonour.ca/ ) was set up as a backdrop to the event with approximately 40 Veterans and 20 Afghans who arrived recently in Canada. The traditional Afghan dinner included rice, meatballs, various types of Kebabs, Naan bread, along with various fruits like Mangos, grapes, bananas. Métis Veterans Monument - unveiling ceremony on 21 August 2021 at Metis Crossing near Smoky Lake, Alberta. I enjoyed partnering with the Métis Nation of Alberta and sailors of HMCS NONSUCH to produce this 7-minute tribute video. Mixed with aerial, river and ceremony footage, it features interviews with Métis Veterans and those who made the monument possible.
